Details: The Travel Channel Treasure Wiki says that in Gem County you can find opals of salmon pink or cherry color, with agates of light blue color are near the deposits. For more information go the Travel Channel Treasure Wiki page on Idaho (link is above). It also said: "Handy to bring along: 1.Hand pick 2, Collecting bag 3. Rock hammer 4. Safety glasses."
Directions: Go to the Travel Channel Treasure Wiki page on Idaho again for directions. It is a little vague. I think it must imply that the deposit you are looking for is at Squaw Butte. However they did provide GPS coordinates, so maybe it will point to the right spot. Here is exactly what the link used to say: "How to get there: Take 52 north from Emmett and turn est on Butte Road. At the intersection of lookout Road turn north to Squaw Butte."
