Details: There is a cutout into the hillside below the Tanger Outlet Center that looks to be another new development. Branson seems to have many limestone/marble quarries, and the same characteristics are shown here. I decided to check out this one since nothing was happening there and there was easy access. 20 feet up the excavation was a vug filled layer with mainly some calcite (honey-brown). However, other minerals were present that I can't identify.
Directions: On the southeast section of the intersection of Roark Valley Rd. and Forsyth Blvd. in Branson, MO. There are many other quarries and roadcuts in the area.
