Details: I don't know how current this informations. "Smokey Quartz, Fluorescent Milky Quartz, Pegmatite Minerals" can be found at two designated mineral collecting areas at the White Mountain National Forest area. For more info please visit Bob's Rock Shop Collecting List of New Hampshire sites. This is private land, but according to the White Mountain National Forest Mineral Collecting website, you can collect in 3 locations for no fee and at Deer Hill for a small fee for amethyst. There are some rules and regulations posted there.
