Details: Geodes ranging from .5" inches to 7" across. These geodes contain white/ amber colored calcite and occasionally white/ cloudy quarts. The tallest points I have found inside largest geodes are ALL under 1cm. Most from 1/8 of an inch.
Please check local collecting laws, because I'm not sure.
Directions: Entering Milford Lake State Park. Traveling the water's edge, you will find tall walls ranging from 8' to 20' in height, watch those areas closely. You will find geodes scattered along the shorelines in those areas and even in the walls. There seems to be more of a build up in the areas where the waves and wind have built up sand and rocks in drift and flood areas.
