Details: Tourmaline, Lepidolite, Morganite, Spodumene, Quartz, and other pegmatite gems and minerals. This is a pay to dig screening site and gem/mineral shop, where some of the world's finest pink tourmalines have been found at the Stewart Mine.
Visitors can pay to dig by screening material taken out of the mine from near the gem pockets. You do not access the mine site, all screening is done at the Gems of Pala store.
Directions: One and 1/4 miles east of Pala Casino, Magee Road at Hwy 76.
