Details: This is a BLM-managed location where it is free to collect. The prize of this location is fire agates. Please observe the Rockhounding Rules found on the BLM website and you can also see some more information.
Directions: There is a map available on the BLM website, but here are some better written directions found from another website: "From Highway 70 east of Safford approximately 50 miles, travel into New Mexico to just beyond milepost 5. Take the dirt access road on your right for 12 miles, following the signs to the Rockhound Area. " I took the GPS coordinates from Mindat.org.
