Details: Here is the information that is found from the BLM website: "Larrabee Mining District barite & calcite. 27 miles south of Carlin on Highway 278. Pit is 7 miles off highway to east, in section 5, T.28N., R. 53E"

Pit is 7 miles off highway to east, in section 5, T.28N., R. 53E." The GPS coordinates below are for T028N, R053E, Section 5; therefore they should be accurate. Here are the Google Earth directions from Carlin to this GPS location: "Go 27 miles on NV-278 S. Turn left toward Indian Pony Road. Continue straight on Indian Pony Road to the destination." The entrance for the Indian Pony Road was very difficult to see on Google Earth.
