Details: Some of the mines described below are private, so they may not be open for casual collecting. Here is the information that is found from the BLM website: "Merrimac District copper, lead, zinc, magnetite, tungsten. 21 miles north of Elko on Highway 225. Numerous old mines ring Lone Mtn; some are private, some have active claims."
