Details: You can do a 1.5 hour fossil hunt tour in the iron mine according to their website. For other details go to their website. You keep what you find. More tips from another source: "Hill Annex Mine State Park General description: Chose one of three tours. A tour of a massive open pit iron ore mine. A tour of the lake formed by the mining operations. A fossils hunt to recover marine fossils. All three tours take about 1 1/2 hours each.
