"Truly, if you like adventurous off-roads and seeking gemstones, rocks, or petrified wood - go for it! The NV vistas are absolutely mind-boggling, like your senses just can't take it all in! Then to drive a car right up on these gorgeous rocks - I just couldn't take enough pictures. Plus finding the little mud hole \"Antelope Springs\" with a handful of ducks enjoying the peacefulness out in the middle of nowhere. Two elk hunters aided our quest by locating the Springs on their detailed map. Then we were homefree. You'll also pass many hunters' trailways - but don't veer off. Remember these rocks can be quite heavy when backpacking them through an airport.

"Had a ball among the rocks at this location 10/4/10! Dirt road is putting it mildly and worse than a washboard, but 4 W/D wasn't needed. Antelope Springs is a small water hole with ducks on it, but a great landmark. All well worth it! Hunt to your heart's content here atop the mountain. And what a view - be sure to have camera, jacket, plastic bags, and maybe hammer & chisel and a trowel as live things are under some of the rocks. Pass up the mountain on the left that you \"think\" is the site and drive on up to top of road and you'll be surrounded by all sized beautiful rocks - lavendars, oranges, browns, dark reds! Airport security will probably check these, as they said they see lots of rocks! Our grandkids absolutely love them and we've added some to our rock garden in FL! Had a great time and no one was around.
