"I just checked out this location, and I think the initial information from highdesertinsider.com is pretty out of date. The area is very built up at this point along Hubbard Rd. with private properties lining the entire dirt road. I did find a nice specimen at the end of Hubbard R. near Escondido Canyon Rd., but overall the area is too populated to do any real gathering.
