About Me:  Been a mining engineer for a number of years in Bauxite mining and processing; also  in vanadium  mining and extraction. My wife is a lapidary artist and I am her chief engineer. I cut and polish gemstones and we both create mountings. We live in the Ozarks but we travel quite a bit. To Agate-Lady and I; a road cut is a tourist attraction. We stop by the "Watch for Falling Rocks" signs.  The University of Arkansas Geology Department takes field trips to our back yard. We have two sons , two daughter-in-loves and three grand pebble pups. I have written serveral articals for  Rock and Gem, and Lapidary Journal. My degree is in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.,

My Rock Interests:  Rockhounding, Lapidary, Agate Genesis, Minerals, Fossils, and other neat stuff. Did I mention Rocks?

My Rockhounding Tips: Respect people's property. Check out local quarries, mines, road cuts, construction sites. creeks and other likely spots. Do no damage and leave the site better than you found it. Study the geology of the area. Share your finds with other folks then the earth will open her treasures.

Scot I know a number of folks searching for a home for rockhounds. Your site is great!! Is there are easy way to add a posting page where on going conversations could be carried out. Also, would it be hard to add a photo sharing page. I could help with cost and elbow grease. Maybe, we could talk about it. Got to go hounding today.

Pyrite, I have no idea how it happened, but after entering a new location(old mine park) in Ct. I uploaded a pic of fluorite and it came up with AZ location and Pyrite instead of CT and Stonebuster. Mike

Absolutely!  It is even cool outside tonight.  Do you have anything in mind?  I'll send you a message on the Treasure wiki.
