Candy Stripe Opal, also known as Bacon Opal, Bubble Opal & Wildfire Opal, is a colorful hyalite opal only found in one location in the world: in the tertiary deposits located in the shadow of the Mineral Mountains, a geothermal area outside of Milford, UT. This came from a very old collectionPictured wet and dry so you can see what it will look like polished. Just came from another large collection of early rough and slabs that was originally dug in the 1960's and 70's and most of has never been cut. Many of the colors of these agates and jaspers have changed over the years and these are early digging colors. Some might even still have a little dirt in crevices that needs to be cleaned out.
