For more information go to Bob's Rock Shop Website for Vermont Collecting Locations. This is an old posting so I have no idea about the current status of this mine.

The link is broken now, and I did not archive the content. There is a trail to let you view an old mine area. It is described in this blog: https://myhikes.org/trails/lost-mine-trail

Here is what is said on this site "http://cashandtreasures.wikifoundry.com/page/Vermont", "General description: Actinolite, Ankerite, Chrysotile, Serpentine and Talc. Some nice sprays of actinolite crystals have been gathered from the dump on the west side of the road.

Handy to bring along: 1.Sledge hammer 2.Chisels 3.Rock bucket 4. Gloves & safety glasses"
For directions go to Bob's Rock Shop Website for Vermont Collecting Locations.

From the wiki website mentioned in details: "How to get there:At the intersection of Route 11 and Route 35 in the town of Chester go south on Rte 35 about 0.7 miles. Turn left onto the old road for approximately 1.6 miles. The mine will be on the right and easily visible from the road. The mine dumps are located on both sides of the road. "
